A multi-layer rigid film, comprising more than one polymer mix, offers high-end sealability in the finished packaging. This helps to increase the protective barrier for some products, giving them a longer shelf-life.

kp^® ReClose is our range of multilayer PET rigid films for form, fill and seal and thermoforming food applications, like sliced cheese, that require a peel and reseal solution for improved consumer convenience and food waste prevention. It’s an easy drop-in solution for PET form, fill and seal and thermoforming lines that is compatible with standard lock seal PE top lidding films.

Made with up to 75% post-consumer recycled PET, with almost half (33%) coming from food trays (kp Tray2Tray^®). This can result in lower eco and national plastic taxes in countries (eg France, Spain and United Kingdom), where the use of PCR PET from bottles and/or food trays is incentivised.

Allows for a reduction in packaging weight up to 12.5%

kp® ReClose combined with lock seal PE top lidding films, such as kp FlexiLid® EH 373, allows you to reduce your packaging weight by as much as 12.5% compared to a combination of lock seal PET rigid films and reclosable PE top lidding films.

Consumer friendly packaging

Designed to be easy to peel and reseal up to 20 times when the packaging sealing surface has a width of 5 mm or higher.

An easy drop-in solution that works with all standard PET thermoforming and form, fill and seal equipment, with no need to change or retrofit existing equipment.

Rigid film for high barrier applications

kp^® Bar is an exceptional high barrier rigid film which blocks out environmental elements preserving and extending the shelf life of fresh food. This range of PET, PP, PS or PVC rigid films has an ethylene vinyl alcohol (EVOH) layer making it an ideal oxygen barrier for keeping elements out, as well as keeping elements in that help preserve the taste, texture and appearance of fresh food. kp^® Bar is perfect for modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) and vacuum skin packaging (VSP) and will run on standard thermoforming or form, fill and seal machinery.
