A Rewarding Career at kp

I’ve worked at kp for almost 12 years so far; I joined as an apprentice and honestly haven’t looked back. I started in the Finance Team but when the opportunity arose, I took a role in the Customer Service Team. Whilst my experience was limited and I was nervous at the time, this move turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve made in terms of my career.

With the support of those around me, I’ve grown and learnt a lot over the past few years. I enjoy working so closely with kp’s customers and whilst each day brings with it new challenges, by being responsive and efficient I play a vital role in keeping our customers happy.

Across my department, we treat each other with respect and have built an environment where we can speak up and share how we feel and what we think. These open communication channels set us up to solve customer problems as quickly as possible.

I get a lot from working at kp and feel the company focuses on employee wellbeing. Each month in our office we have a Healthy Day where fresh fruit is delivered, and we can access a fitness studio free of charge. For many of us, we can often work remotely too, which helps me create better balance in my life (and I love my ergonomic set-up at home!).

Championing International Women’s Day

International Women’s Day is a time for each and every one of us to think about how we can make the world more inclusive.

I think mentoring can play a valuable role here; not only can it help you achieve your goals, but it can also push you to be the best version of yourself. Even without an official mentor, simply by looking for ways to learn from those around us, we can broaden both knowledge and skills.

We all need to take responsibility to champion not only ourselves, but those around us as we strive for greater equality at work, and around the world.

Empowering Future Generations

To other women out there, as we push towards equal rights and opportunities for all genders, I urge you to not be afraid of the unknown.

To other women out there, as we push towards equal rights and opportunities for all genders, I urge you to not be afraid of the unknown. Whilst setbacks will occur along the way, remember to believe in yourself, and keep focused on your goals.

As my ‘new’ career in customer service shows, it is also never too late to pursue your dreams and try out new things!
