The benefits of shrink sleeve labels for bottles are well established. These labels provide a way for beverage producers to display important nutritional information about their products, they provide an excellent avenue for high-graphic designs to better market their products and they also provide exceptional clarity when product visualization is important.
And let us not forget that shrink sleeve labels work great on bottles that have some geometry to them. An hourglass shape is very popular for water bottles and sports drink bottles usually have a tapered design that would preclude a standard wrap-around label. But with shrink sleeve labels, this is not a problem.
Currently, shrink sleeve labels are removed during the recycling process of the bottle or container. Recycling centers do this in a separate step of the process where it can be sorted and properly disposed of. But what if there were a way to keep the labels on during this process and contribute to the post-consumer recycle stream?
