London, UK – June 2023 – There’s a new kid on the block – kp FlexiVac® R. And the R stands for fully recyclable. Today, only kp can offer a multi-layer recyclable vacuum film that’s been certified 100% recyclable as PE by cyclos–HTP* and certified by Interseroh.
In collaboration with Dow, Klöckner Pentaplast is launching a specially formulated fully recyclable vacuum film which is one of the most sustainable solutions of its type available. Dow’s FUSABOND™ technology – incorporated into kp FlexiVac® R – allows the film to be recyclable without compromising on performance and aesthetics.
“We are delighted to see that the integration of our FUSABOND™ component brings recyclability to kp’s FlexiVac® value proposition. Our Dow compatibilizer offering enables the recyclability of barrier films, which is the first step towards a circular economy for food packaging flexible films” explains Laurent Ziché, Senior Marketing Manager at Dow.
kp FlexiVac® R is so much more than fully recyclable. Its high tensile strength suitable for bone-in cuts of fresh meat and poultry combined with its superior hermetical seal, means customers can rely on kp’s films for maximum food protection and safety throughout the supply chain.
kp wants to see its products become a key element of the circular economy, so designs each one with its whole life cycle in mind.
